Ordering Digital Elevation Models

Original USGS DEMs

(all Level 2 quality except for 88 Twin Cities metro quads)

The tiled, individual Digital Elevation Models (DEM) were retired January 30, 2005 since they have been replaced by the National Elevation Data Set (NED).

Processed DEMs

(all Level 2 quality)

State file:  The Land Management Information Center created a statewide 30-meter raster file from the USGS and DNR Level 2 DEMs. It may be downloaded free in ArcGRID, ERDAS or EPPL7 format from the online documentation.

County files:  The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources created 30-meter raster files in ArcGRID format, tiled by 1:250K quadrangle, using USGS and DNR Level 2 DEMs. They may be downloaded free from the online documentation at DNR's Data Deli.
