Detailed District Demographic Profiles

• Legislative District Profiles: Browse to find detailed demographic information for a single Legislative District.
• This database was updated on January 25 2007 to reflect new, more accurate, statistics based on official Census Bureau tabulations. Previously, only estimates were available because the Bureau had not yet published figures for the geographical areas created by the 2000 redrawn state legislative districts. Updated figures are not available through the "custom reports and maps" below.  Thus you may receive slightly different data using the two tools.

Notes:

• The Legislative District database is compiled from Census 2000 Summary File 3.  These sample data are not available down to the census block level, from which the districts are composed.  While the algorithms to disaggregate data to blocks and re-aggregate to districts are statistically sound, the data in the profiles should not be considered an actual count.
• Legislative Districts are as ordered by the Minnesota Supreme Court Special Redistricting Panel in the matter of Zachman v. Kiffmeyer, case #C0-01-160, on March 19, 2002.
