Minnesota Health Profiles: introduction

The Minnesota Health Profiles interactive database seeks to provide greater access for citizens and policy-makers to data on the health of Minnesotans. The database was developed in the fall of 1997 by Land Management Information Center in collaboration with the Minnesota Department of Health’s Center for Health Statistics. The November 1996 Minnesota Health Profiles is the ninth edition of health profiles prepared by the Center for Health Statistics. The profiles were updated in 1998 and 2000. With these, the Department of Health continues its mission of public health by using Internet technology to promote the participation of Minnesotans in their understanding, assessment and improvement of public health.

Unless otherwise noted, baseline data is from 1995, 1997 or 1999 depending on the profile selected.
