Substance abuse monitoring system

The Substance Abuse Monitoring System was created by the Minnesota Department of Human Service in response to a 1993 legislative mandate to develop tools for using chemical health-related data in Minnesota. The system was designed with the assistance of a multidisciplinary task force that included representatives from the fields of human services, education, law enforcement and health care.
